iPhone 1.1.3 firmware problems for GoPhone users [UPDATED]

iphone_screen_1.1.3

I wasn’t even aware that the iPhone could be used on AT&T’s GoPhone program, but apparently it can and 1.1.3 breaks things.

What’s GoPhone?

That’s what AT&T call their pay as you go, prepaid mobile phone service.

Apparently after upgrading to the 1.1.3 firmware the EDGE connection breaks, so no wireless data except for via Wi-Fi.

It seems that the only way to fix things at this time is to restart your plan or paying by the kilobyte.

Hopefully this will be straightened out soon.

UPDATE: It seems it’s not a problem with the 1.1.3 firmware, but rather a coincidental server crash at AT&T.
